President's Letter

Congratulations to the students who were winners of the Perfect Attendance awards. What a great accomplishment for those kids and their parents! What these kids receive is NOT possible without the support from our Chamber businesses, organizations and individuals. Thanks to all of you for your donations. I would especially like to thank the committee that works tirelessly on this event each year. Kudos to the committee members for their efforts.

Don't forget about the Concerts in the Park series going on this month on Tuesday nights. We have fantastic performances scheduled for your entertainment. Also, The Chamber's annual golf outing is Friday, July 14th. This is a change from previous events to accommodate more of our businesses and players. The golf and fellowship are second to none. Again, the committees that organize these two great events work tirelessly as well, so come out and support your Chamber-sponsored events with your attendance.

As many of you know, Mayor Leach, along with 30 or so other leaders from Indiana, is on a business trip to Japan and Korea to build relationships and nurture business contacts for today and the future. Your Chamber has contributed financially in support of this trip, and in return Mayor Leach will be addressing the Chamber at the August luncheon concerning what took place on this trip. Put it on your calendar to attend the August luncheon to hear of this important trip and how it will impact our community. Having said that, please be sure to attend the July luncheon as well because we always have great food, fellowship, and speakers for your benefit.
