Business Highlights

The Gas City Area Chamber of Commerce offers services that will help your business grow. NO TIME to be active in the Chamber? In less than 2 hours, you can:

• Attend one of the Chamber's monthly networking events - the Director's Luncheon.
• Mail the Chamber a news item about your business, which can be published in the next issue of the Chamber newsletter (announcing awards, new employees, new products/services, etc.)

Even if you have NO time to get involved, the Chamber offers:

• Business referrals in response to inquiries at the office.
• Information on legislation and local governmental issues affecting YOUR business.
• Display space for your business literature at the Chamber office and exposure to visitors and potential new residents to our community.
• Mailing labels to fellow Chamber members.
• Maps, demographics, 'Fact Publications' (city information)
• Opportunities for business development programs and social activities for interaction with other business representatives.
   

Directors Luncheon Report

Seventy-three community leaders attended the Director's Luncheon. Janet Blake presided. Mark Galenski, Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc., gave an informative presentation. He advised businesses on how Pre-Paid can help them provide their employees opportunities through Pre-Paid Legal Services. Tom Wright, Wright Repairs Inc., is a recent new member and was presented his membership plaque at the luncheon. There were several new attendees but one in particular received a lot of attention: Mac, the McClure Oil Mascot, led by McClure Oil Human Resource Director, Janice Wagner. You missed a GREAT meal folks but the good news is that the Eastview Wesleyan Ladies are planning another tasty feast just for you. Make your October reservations early.
 

Committee Involvement

Chamber committee involvement offers members an excellent opportunity to take an active role in planning and implementing programs and strategies to achieve the Chamber's goals. While participating on committees, you will be networking with other members, increasing the visibility of your company name and ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of your Chamber membership.

• One of the Chamber's new neighbors is Faithful Friends Home Healthcare, Inc.? They provide nursing care, personal hygiene care, and homemaker services to people in their homes. Julie Johnson is the owner and can be reached from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday at 765-674-7066.
