Letter from the President
At the August luncheon, Pete Beck presented the Garfield Project. His discussion rekindled the idea that there are many things in our own community we often take for granted; things we should probably be broadcasting. Gas City and Jonesboro have fantastic historical societies where you can learn our rich history. Think about it. We are the popcorn capital of the world, home of James Dean, the Quilter's Hall of Fame and the former director of the Hurricane Center was from right here in Grant County. The point is, and I have said this before, there are a lot of great reasons to live here. Sometimes, we just have to remind ourselves to spread our pride for our community everywhere we go.
